The Great Invocation is a world prayer translated into over 80 languages and dialects.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God

About the Great Invocation


The Great Invocation is an instrument of power , a tool for spiritual service which aims to aid the Divine Plan by anchoring spiritual energies on Earth. It is a universal prayer not confined to any one religion, creed, or sect. It is used by individuals and groups around the world to assist in the transformation of human and planetary consciousness.

The Invocation expresses certain central truths which most people innately and normally accept:

  • That there exists a basic intelligence to whom we give the name of God.
  • That there is a divine evolutionary Plan in the universe – the motivating power of which is love.
  • That a great individuality called by Christians the Christ – and by other names in other religions – came to Earth and embodied that love so that we could understand.
  • The truth that both love and intelligence are effects of what is called the Will of God;
  • And finally, the self-evident truth that only through humanity itself can the divine plan work out.

To use the invocation is therefore an act of service to humanity and the Christ, the World Teacher, that great Son of God who appears in every world religion yet under different name. He, along with a great Hierarchy of enlightened men and women, are responsible for the awakening of the consciousness aspect in all forms and for ensuring that the Will of God works out and that the Plan of evolution is fulfilled.

Humanity has a central role to play in planetary evolution. When the human mind is oriented to spiritual values and the will and desire is also present to see these values through into expression, the man or woman becomes a mediating force whereby energies of the soul and of the kingdom of souls are given a living and human form.

The Great Invocation, when used with focused thought and sincerity of purpose, is a powerful means of spiritual service.

Suggestions for Participation

  • Reflect for a few moments every day on the Invocation in an effort to understand its deeper meanings. Then say the Great Invocation with concentration and intention. As you do so, visualise Light and Love and Will-to-Good entering the hearts and minds of people everywhere.

 

  • The Great Invocation is most effective when sounded with focused intention, and with understanding and mental apprehension of its effects. Consider reading more about its use and significance here.

 

  • The Great Invocation should be used with detachment and sent forth in a spirit of pure love and with a completely unbiased attitude.

 

  • It is not a peace prayer or a means of personal spiritual alignment. It is spiritually militant and invocative demand which, if used correctly, can powerfully and immediately transform all of human consciousness.

 

  • Like the sacred word, OM, the Great Invocation is a word of power. When sounded by the soul and with the power of a controlled mind, it evokes and sets in motion certain beneficent agencies and forces which uplift, transform, and redeem.

 

  • If you wish to work as a triangle unit, ask two friends to join with you. When using the Invocation unite mentally with them and then visualise this triangle as linked to the network formed by all others engaged in this world service. More information at www.triangles.org.
